Pat Gehant, an established leader in developing a technology based workforce, will be our speaker at our joint BAMA and UTBMA monthly meeting.  Pat has completed a statewide study on this topic for Career Source Florida and is now working with the Tampa Bay Technology Forum to apply that expertise in our region.

Pat's topic will be on the Exploratory Labs concept that has been successfully implemented by some of the region's top technology firms including Tech Data. Pat will share the foundations of the program with us as well as cover two upcoming summer Boot Camps for area middle and high schoolers.

Essentially the Exploratory Labs are focused on exciting and engaging our future workforce in the technical skills needed to drive productivity and innovation in our businesses as well as empowering them with the knowledge and practical skills to move the ball forward.  This is accomplished in a highly focused, fast-paced, concentrated format.  Hence, the term Boot Camp.

Come out an see the face of the future.  One of the program pillars is User Experience.  So make no mistake this is not only eye opening stuff but we are looking to recruit YOU as a partner in some form.  We need mentors, plant tours and subject matter experts to get engaged and make this real and sustainable.
