Position Objective:  Assembles inserts, screws, rivets, and associated hardware into precision-machined parts as required by customer, govt., or in‑house specifications.

 

Essential Functions May Include:

  • Assemble hardware into parts as required on blueprints
  • Responsible for set‑up, installation, and gauging of own work related operations
  • Maintain function and maintenance of company tools and own hand installation tools
  • Preferred:

    • 2+ years industrial assembly background

     

    Skills:  

    • Ability to work with many types of adhesives

    ·         Ability to work efficiently with hand tools

    • Usage of pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanically operated hand tools and equipment
    • Use of micrometers, vernier calipers, and thread and pin gauges as required
    • Ability of color distinction using Pseudochromatic Plates testing or equivalent method
    • Minimum of 20/25 vision corrected or uncorrected in one eye using Jaeger type 1 test or equivalent method

    ·         Accuracy installing hardware as requested

    ·         Ability to perform within the specific times allocated per operation

    ·         Ability to maintain and control appropriate stock and inventory of required materials

    ·         Attentive to detail, essential/a must

    ·         Ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously

    ·         Working knowledge of dimensions and tolerances
