Supply Chain Manager, Clearwater

Reports To: VP of Operations

Job Summary:

The Supply Chain Manager is the leader in the business for all movement of materials into, within and out of the facility. The position has total span of control for Purchasing, Receiving, Shipping, Work Order Management, Production Control, Scheduling, Warehousing and Inventory. The Individual will work in a Lean Manufacturing Change environment and will be expected to utilize Lean Tools. The company is growing rapidly and the team is implementing process change and organizational change to manage the growth.

  • ·         Responsibilities:
Develop true Supplier Partnerships considering the entire Value Stream and total cost of ownership.
·         Expand the use of Sage ERP as a functional tool to drive efficiencies in inventory management, replenishment, material planning and schedule execution.

·        
Working in a Gemba based environment, lead the team to focus on the factory and service departments as an evolving partner, leading change.

·        
Create optimized Standard Work for all functional responsibilities. Develop this standard work to allow for ease of training and job rotation to provide maximum coverage across the materials functions.

Implement the use of problem solving tools such as 8D ,PDCA and as necessary DMAIC to discover root cause and deliver sustaining results. 
·         Manage and Coach the team, providing clear leadership and motivation to succeed and grow.
·         Streamline and standardize the various methods of demand creation, order creation and order fulfillment to simplify and create standard methods of purchasing and receiving materials.

Requirements:

Bachelors Degree.
·         5 years’ experience working in a Lean environment.
·         Excellent verbal/written skills
·         APICS training and certification preferred.
·         Negotiation skills required.
·         Fluent with the Microsoft Suite of products. Experience with SAGE ERP preferred.
·         Green Belt or Lean Bronze certification preferred.

Work Environment:

Office with frequent Gemba Walks.
·         Non- Union Work Teams.
·         4 value streams moving through a Lean Culture Change process.
·         Make to Order and Standard product build mix.

Additional Attributes:

Roles in Production Control, Purchasing, Inventory Management and Logistics desired. .
·         Knowledge of UL standards and NFPA standards a plus 
  •         Can do attitude with strong communication skills.
