    Entry-Level Welder
    Day shift

    POSITION SUMMARY:
    The Welder is responsible for various types of welding preparation, welding processes, and weld finishing operations to manufacture product to customer drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Operate manual and automated welding units and equipment by depositing metal from electrode to work piece and joins edges of work piece.
    • Repair improperly welded pieces and fill holes.
    • Position and clamp work pieces together or assemble.
    • Interpret of mechanical drawings, including weld requirement symbols
    • Knowledge of wire and filler materials applications for various steel alloys, aluminum, and some exotic materials
    • Working knowledge of fixture and weld set up parameters (amps, volts, etc.)
    • Conventional and precision measuring instruments
    • Process inspection, certification, and documentation

    Produces required parts by setting up and operating a CNC machining center; Programming part files using CNC software, maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.

    JOB SUMMARY:
    Position involves setup and operation of stamping presses and support equipment to company’s quality and performance standards, while maintaining high levels of safety and workplace organization as it applies to this position.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Setup Dies and Presses while supporting all equipment safely and correctly.
    • Run presses to produce products at specified quantity level.
    • Collaborate with toolmakers and machinist to resolve die issues
    • Perform basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
    • Recognize visual defects in finished goods and conduct visual quality inspections and follow first piece inspection procedures for parts
    • Use quality tools such as calipers and pin gauges to measure part and drawing specifications

    • Identify all material used in products, and label/package finished products.
    • Manage time wisely to maximize press uptime.
    • Accurately complete all required paperwork such as labor production reports and transfer of hour’s sheets.
    • Actively support 5S, EHS, Quality, and GLSS Programs by following all approved practice and procedures, performing cleanup activities, and identify/recommend improvements to management.
    • Take initiative to express new ideas and concepts and set standards for accepting change as a positive department goal
    • Fulfill responsibilities/authorities detailed in any control plan associated with this position.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:
    • High School Diploma or G.E.D
    • 1+ years of press operations experience
    • Able to use the necessary quality tools as it relates to this position.
    • Able to read and understanding drawings and prints as well as specification tolerances and ranges.
    • Ability to effectively operate safely in a high-pressure environment
    • Abel to proactively work independently as well with others with limited supervision.
    • Able to lift and transport up to 50 pounds and stand throughout the duration of the shift.

    SUMMARY
    Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery and equipment in building by performing the following duties.

    REQUIREMENTS/EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
    High school diploma or general education degree (GED). 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination or education and experience. Must have electrical, hydraulic and mechanical experience. Welding experience is preferred (stainless, piping, threading, etc.)
    *Must be a non-smoker to work in chemical production facility.
    *Must have a valid driver's license for forklift operations.
    NOTE: This position requires applicants to successfully pass a pre-employment, as well as an annual pulmonary function test (PFT). This position may expose the employee to isocyanates which are chemicals known to be respiratory irritants and sensitizers. While TSE provides personal protective equipment (PPE) to its employees working around such chemicals, the most current and best available medical data indicate that individuals with pre-existing respiratory conditions including but not limited to asthma, chronic bronchitis, emphysema, and the like are at high risk or experiencing serious, and possibly fatal reactions to isocyanates, even at concentrations below the legally permissible exposure level (PEL). Therefore, due to this direct threat to their safety, TSE does not hire individuals with pre-existing respiratory conditions to work in this position.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment. Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction, and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine. Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts. Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, and other parts or machinery. Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment.
