    Job Title: Manufacturing Planner/Production Scheduler
    Department: Production

    Purpose of Job:
    Under general supervision of the Office Manager, this position requires the successful candidate to coordinate the Master Production Schedule to ensure a successful handoff of planning information to the production floor. The position requires direct interface with Production, Engineering and Sales to help ensure on time delivery of product to customers through scheduling, production planning, identifying opportunities for improvements and efficiencies, and production reporting. This role has the ability to effect business goals and is responsible for implementing scheduling strategies that successfully support organization objectives. This position will also be responsible for developing and utilizing manufacturing tools to manage inventory, manufacturing standards, and capacity utilization.

    Essential Functions:

    • Interface with others in the organization to ensure deadlines are met, while helping to maintain the company’s Lean Manufacturing program
    • Manage the flow of production orders from entry to completion
    • Conducting analysis of data and time studies for continuous improvement of production planning


    Responsibilities:

    • Participate in initial company data clean-up and help maintain accurate data entries in ERP system; to include manufactured and purchased parts, work centers and processes
    • Develop a system to identify manpower, process, or tooling bottlenecks constraining cell thru puts, and recommend alternative solutions that optimize resource utilization
