Through our scholarship program, the Bay Area Manufacturers Association has been awarding deserving students the chance to pursue a career in manufacturing and/or a technology-based career.

Since 1978 we have raised tens of thousands of dollars to support our cause. We believe that manufacturing is alive and well in the Tampa Bay Area and our plan is to promote the development and growth of manufacturing!

BAMA offers two types of scholarship programs:


Continuing Education Scholarship Program:

  • Employee of a BAMA manufacturing company in good standing
  • Enrolled in manufacturing related classes
  • Scholarships apply to vocational/technical schools or two or four year college/university schools
  • Applications are available in your company’s human resources office, and completed applications should be returned to BAMA office.
  • Scholarship funds should be available to all regular full or part-time employees
  • Essay has to be related to manufacturing career (250 – 350 words)

High School Senior Scholarship Program

  • Applicants must be graduating seniors from Pinellas and Hillsborough county public high schools and demonstrate a financial need for educational assistance.
  • Applicants must pursue a career in manufacturing (i.e. engineering, customer service, manufacturing, information systems, computer science, business management, machinist, electronics technician, drafter, graphic artist, welder, etc.)
  • A minimum GPA of 3.5 is required
  • This is for a two-four year college/university or vocational-technical education program.
