As you know, BAMA is a member of the Manufacturer's Association of Florida (MAF). One of MAF's goals is to promote manufacturing careers to Florida's high school students. One vehicle that is supported by MAF is Florida Trend's NEXT magazine and website which provide excellent opportunities for Florida's manufacturers to bring manufacturing careers to the forefront and, at the same time, receive recognition in a major publication. MAF is asking for the manufacturing community to support the magazine by sponsorships. The attachments are from MAF and provide additional information on the publication, the sponsorship levels and instructions for sponsorships. Please consider supporting Florida Trend's NEXT magazine and let's get the word out about manufacturing careers in Florida!

Determined to do something about the high numbers of job-related deaths and injuries to workers in the 1970's, President Richard M. Nixon signed the Occupational Safety and Health Act on December 29, 1970. Since its inception, OSHA's job has been to protect American workers. Establishing a safe and healthful working environment requires every employer and every worker to make safety and health a top priority. The entire work force from the CEO to the most recent hire- must recognize that worker safety and health are central to the mission and key to the profitability of the American company.

To contact OSHA for questions or concerns on your company's safety plan, you may write to them at:
