Position Summary: As the Manager of Human Resources, you will play a pivotal role in shaping VOLT Lighting's culture and ensuring the well-being of our employees. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources, from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations and benefits administration. This will include multi operations include warehouses in four states across the nation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment and Onboarding:

- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent. This may include creating a job description with departmental subject matter experts as well as posting the job on multiple channels.
- Identify and utilize multiple recruitment channels, including online job boards, social media, and employee referrals, to build a strong talent pipeline. Conduct interviews and assessments to select qualified candidates.
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from conducting initial interviews and assessments to collaborating with department heads for final hiring decisions.
- Administer the onboarding process to ensure new hires are successfully integrated into the team. Oversee the onboarding process to ensure new hires are integrated smoothly, providing necessary training and orientation programs.
- Employee Benefits:

- Work with employees to determine their unique benefits needs as part of our "Life just got brighter" initiative.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable benefits regulations such as Form 5500 for 401K and Workman’s Comp paperwork.
- Foster a positive work environment through employee engagement initiatives, ensuring a strong culture that promotes retention and job satisfaction.
- Organize monthly events such an employee celebrations, competitions, and culture creating events
- Organizational Development:

- Collaborate with the leadership team to optimize organizational structure and maximize employee productivity and happiness.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and implement initiatives to boost morale and engagement.
- Work directly with the President on other initiatives as needed.
- Create and deliver training programs to enhance employee skills, team collaboration, and overall organizational effectiveness.
- Monitor and enhance workplace culture through engagement surveys, feedback mechanisms, and initiatives that strengthen employee commitment and job satisfaction.
- Lead change management initiatives by designing and executing plans that help employees and teams adapt to organizational transformations.
- Employee Records and Administration:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records. Conduct regular audits of employee records and generate reports on workforce metrics, such as headcount, turnover, and compliance status.
- Coordinate annual enrollment processes and ensure VOLT Lighting offers competitive and financially responsible pay and benefits. Ensure all employee records comply with legal and regulatory requirements, including contracts, benefits, performance reviews, and termination paperwork.
- Oversee the performance management process, ensuring alignment with organizational goals while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Oversee the administrative aspects of employee onboarding and offboarding, ensuring that all required documentation is completed and filed properly.
- Internship and Mentorship Program:

- Develop and manage an internship program to recruit talented interns from colleges and universities.
- Work with department managers to design and implement internship curriculum and projects that align with the company's goals.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to interns throughout the 12-week program.
- Evaluate intern performance and provide feedback.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in human resources management.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with employees at all levels.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
