The Federation for Advanced Manufacturing Education (FAME) Information Session

Join us for an informational meeting to learn about the The Federation for Advanced Manufacturing Education (FAME) apprenticeship-style training program. Information Session. The FAME model is an employer-led workforce development program that combines paid, hands-on work experience with structured classroom instruction. Students typically work part-time with a sponsoring employer while attending classes, gaining real-world experience in areas like advanced manufacturing, maintenance, and industrial technology. In addition to technical skills, the program emphasizes professional behaviors such as reliability, teamwork, problem-solving, and communication—traits that are critical for long-term success on the shop floor.

Employers who participate in FAME benefit from:

  • Developing highly skilled, work-ready employees tailored to their specific needs
  • Reducing recruitment and onboarding costs
  • Strengthening retention through early engagement and mentorship
  • Contributing to the growth of the local manufacturing workforce

Join us as we discover how we can bring this program to our region.
