    SUMMARY
    The Tool and Die Maker is responsible to use all type of tool room equipment such as surface grinder, milling machines, bend saws, cut off saws, pedestal grinders, and other tool room equipment to create and make tooling to match part drawing.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
      • Ability to grind angles, radiuses, on all tooling to create a high quality, tight tolerance parts. These duties are to be performed within quality and to company standards.
      • Read blueprints and use necessary measuring devices to make, or modify existing tooling, tools to new or old job prints.
      • Make sure that tools are sharpened and in good working condition before being placed back on shelf or in tool drawers.
      • Repair or requisition replacement parts, tooling or hardware as needed to maintain  adequate stock.
      • Check tooling in and out of tool room computer.
      • Set-up and operate all tool room equipment for specific operation.
      • Other duties may be assigned that pertain to this classification.

    Quality Standards
      • Must be able to understand and perform to quality standards, methods, usage of inspection devices and reporting as required.

    Safety
      • Maintain proper housekeeping and safety standards.
      • Proper use of personal protective equipment.
      • Proper use of safety devices, such as lockout, as required.
      • Safe operation of all machinery, tools and equipment.

    JOB SUMMARY :
       • Lays out, builds, tests, troubleshoots, repairs and modifies developmental and production electronic assemblies, components, and test equipment.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
       • Inspects, tests, and diagnoses customers failed units upon arrival; provides dispositions to engineering and executes final dispositions.
       • Designs and builds test fixtures for manufacturing or engineering use.
       • Analyze, troubleshoot, and repair failed units produced during manufacturing processes.
       • Performs preventative maintenance (PM) on tools and machinery in order to ensure equipment is working to manufacturers specifications.
       • Become first line of support for manufacturing, identifying and resolving manufacturing/test defects and escalating when appropriate.
       • Inspect board output to ensure that IPC 610 and J-standards are being met.

    ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
       • Follows all safety procedures, good housekeeping procedures, and abides by all company policies and all labor laws.
       • Maintains a neat, clean, safe, and organized work area.
       • Must be able to lift 25 lbs unassisted.

    Maintenance Mechanic/Technician

    Madico Window Films based out of St. Petersburg is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team. The Maintenance Technician will support our 2nd shift operation with hours of 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm but will train on 1st shift with hours of 7:00 am - 3:30 pm.

    The ideal candidate will have experience in HVAC, industrial control and machinery repair with electrical experience. The Maintenance Technician will repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems and production machines and equipment.
    1. Ability to troubleshoot process equipment breakdowns - both mechanical and electrical as well as PLC related.
    2. Must be able to read and interpret mechanical drawings / blue prints, electrical drawings and ladder logic.
    3. Must be familiar with pneumatic and hydraulic circuits.
    4. Ability to operate machine shop equipment such as lathe, drill press, grinding wheel, welding is highly desirable.
    5. Must be familiar with the use of hand tools such as drilling machine, hand grinder and regular tools (wrenches, screw drivers...etc).
    6. Must be familiar with the use of electrical measuring devices such as a volt / amp multi-meter, clamp meter...etc.
    7. Perform other duties as assigned.

    Desired minimum qualifications:
    High School diploma or general education degree (GED) and five (5)years of experience in a manufacturing process environment such as film lamination or printing –OR- an Associate Degree from a Technical College and three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing process environment such as film lamination or printing. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

    Special Requirements:
    1. Must be familiar with the use of hand tools such as drilling machine, hand grinder and regular tools (wrenches, screw drivers, etc.)
    2. Must be familiar with the use of electrical measuring devices such as a volt /amp multi-meter, clamp meter...etc.

    General Summary: The Plater is responsible for the essential tasks associated with the proper operations of plating and metal processing functions with little supervision.

    RESPONSIBILITES:

    • Loading and unloading electroplating equipment.
    • Fastens circuit boards to racks and cathode bars
    • Immerses work pieces in series of cleaning, plating and rinsing tanks, following timed cycles manually or using hoists
    • Carries work pieces between departments through electroplating processes
    • Sets temperature and maintains proper liquid levels in the plating tanks
    • Removes work pieces from racks, and examines work pieces for plating defects, such as nodules, thin plating or burned plating
    • Places work pieces on racks to be moved to next operation
    • Drains solutions from, cleans and refills tanks; fills anode baskets as needed
    • Removes buildup of plating metal from racks using hammer and other tools
    • Replaces damaged or worm equipment parts
    • Climbing up steps to get to tanks

    Job Requirements:
    • 5+ years of process engineering experience with electronic components & assemblies in a high reliability industry
    • Possess an in-depth understanding of high-mix/low-volume manufacturing
    • Hands on technical experience with SMT processes, soldering and testing requirements
    • Knowledgeable with PCB Assembly Design for Manufacturability
    • Hands-on experience with electromechanical assembly processes
    • Experience designing box build cell layouts
    • Experience with data collection, hardware hierarchy and specification reviews with customers
    • Knowledge of data collection and statistical techniques including ability to implement Statistical Process Control
    • Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma principles and application methods
