    JOB DESCRIPTION: Materials Manager
    General Summary: The Materials Manager is responsible for managing, controlling and purchasing raw material inventory according to MRP system requirements as well as the management of Finished Goods. Oversight and control of key suppliers and service venders is a key aspect of this job. Advises the company’s operating teams on traffic and logistic matters. The Materials Manager will directly supervise Receiving, Shipping and Purchasing, and report to the company’s Controller.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Development, implementation and execution of industry best practices regarding inventory control and management.
    • Plan, lead and execute the company’s annual physical inventory; run reports and brief the management staff on the outcome.
    • Oversee the company’s cycle counting program and make recommendations to improve it.
    • Will be called up to search for, negotiate and purchase capital equipment.
    • Consider best price, quality, availability, and reliability when purchasing products and services.
    • Arrange for safe transport of equipment.
    • Ensure materials and parts in the supply chain meet the minimum requirements for quality assurance standards.

    COMPETENCIES:

    Overview

    Responsibilities
    • Interface with Director of New Programs, Sales Directors, Product Managers, and Strategic Partner contacts, to aid in identification and coordination of new product development programs.

    Requirements

    MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR
    Excellent opportunity for a qualified individual with proven Maintenance supervisory experience to oversee the department at our main production facility and Corporate headquarters in St. Petersburg.

    This exempt position reports to the Plant Manager and will be responsible for overseeing M&R functions and associated staff. This includes, but is not limited to, supervising and assigning tasks to the maintenance team, providing hands-on maintenance support as required, ensuring production efficiency standards are met with minimal downtime, ensure labor costs do not exceed budget parameters, troubleshoot and coordinate machinery and systems repairs, whether performed direct/indirect, develop and maintain predictive/preventive maintenance schedules, and other duties as assigned.

    Successful candidates will possess at minimum, five to seven years in a supervisory maintenance position, good computer skills including operating CMMS systems, knowledge of local codes, OSHA and ANSI regulations, HazMat/LOTO certifications, minimum valid Class E Florida drivers license. Preferred skills include two or more of the following disciplines: Univeral Technician certification, Licensed Electrical Journeyman, HVAC, boiler certification, RETA certification, Food industry experience, others. Prior experience with production/packaging equipment and refrigeration systems a must!     Fit and assemble parts into complete assembly. Install machined replacement parts in mechanisms, machines, and equipment, and test operation of unit to ensure functionality and performance.
    Develop specifications from general description and draw sketch or part or product to be fabricated.
    Confer with engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems.
